The National Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Major Projects (APIX S.A.), led by Mr. Bakary Séga Bathily, has supported Senegal’s modernization and economic development dynamic since its creation in 2000.

As the operational arm of the State, APIX’s mission is to promote domestic and foreign investment, facilitate the implementation of major infrastructure projects, and continuously improve the business environment. Through its Business Creation Office (BCE), the agency streamlines administrative procedures, enabling company incorporation within 48 hours. It also offers a Diaspora Desk dedicated to Senegalese living abroad who wish to invest in their home country.

APIX is also responsible for managing Special Economic Zones (SEZs), strategic tools designed to attract private capital, create jobs, and strengthen the country’s competitiveness in line with Vision Sénégal 2050.

Through its initiatives, APIX positions Senegal as a premier investment destination, driven by:

• a stable democracy,
• a competitive economy,
• modern infrastructure,
• an attractive legal and fiscal framework,
• and a high quality of life.

 Priority sectors include agriculture, energy, the digital and green economy, industry, tourism, and transport.
